But man idk MGS story is so dope I had to push through. Prob finishing 1 in the next few days. I’m excited most to get to 4. Seems really cool

Lmao it’s night and day experience.

MGS2 instantly felt like a massive upgrade and easier to play. Which is weird because MGS1 is clunky af yet I found it as an easier entry point.

If you like the MGS2 upgrades you should try and emulate Twin Snakes. It’s MGS1 with MGS2 gameplay

Yeah MGS2 is a huge upgrade and the jump in graphics, physics, etc. in like 3 years is unreal

Just wrapped up MGS2, smoked that. Fw it, gameplay was really fun and the story was good. I think I prefer the first. It had better bosses and atmosphere imo.

That being said the mgs2 shell portion was pretty cool and the backtracking wasn’t as annoying as I thought it would be. Bosses felt kinda boring is my main complaint and the story dragged a tiny bit at the tail end ..Still 4/5 banger imo as the mechanics and graphics improvements are a huge jump

its kinda crazy how mgs has always been this sacred cow of a console franchise back when most pc players could only watch it on streams (except trying ports which not many people did), and then it gets ported and it holds up like crazy to this very day

lots of people even commend the gameplay which was by far my least favorite part of every mgs that i finished except 1

because i feel like if there was something like a mario 64 or kart pc port most people would give it a try but it wouldnt get nearly as much love and resurgence as mgs got

Fr it was some sacred s*** especially if you got interested between ports and such. Lots of convos about how I wanted to play it but didn’t have the HD collection or the OG games. Almost pirated it until the collection came out, glad I got to play all three in one spot
