Puts out a version of knife talk without Drake, takes a drake verse off Trance that everyone seemingly enjoyed when it leaked. Reasoning being “didn’t fit the vision for the song.” Not to mention heroes and villains did come out after her loss. I think it’s very possible metro gave more m’s to 21, and 21 never told metro drake was on it
Ofc metro probably eventually found out before hand it’s being used for a drake x 21 project. But I assume 21 is very close to metro and he asked to hold him down. And with the bread that a Drake credit brings, probably hard to say no to that.
I agree with most of what u saying besides the Trance take, idk what makes Drake obligated to be on that song even if people fw his verse on there.

WATTBA definitely pushed Metro forward in certain aspects tho. Not that he wasn’t big before. Karate Chop also was a big record but I wouldn’t say it reached the masses as much as some of the other records. He had many songs around that period that were bigger than that, even Tuesday which dropped the following year. Him and Future have always just worked and sounded more natural
