it would seem random for most people not tapped into producers. and every producer can't get an artist to jump in their bag

a lot of producer albums would be filled with throwaway songs.

Still seems like an easy bag or a relatively easy way to keep your name out there - also a way to make yourself a bit more independent with touring and such
