those older people tend to be racist contrarian hipsters who have close minded taste/views on art, and hate anything that is mainstream (hip hop, pop etc) versus a holistic dismissal of all new music at large

Why do most people prefer music in their native language? Even more subtle preferences can go back to what we were exposed to as children, not something we had any choice in or anything that holds any real weight beyond the subjective
