As much as I like these Drake & Future songs if I was Drake I would never work with Future again. This beef showed how easily Drake's "friends" would disrespect him or disappear when it's time to support him (21, Yachty). It's all a business to them and it's probably Drake's fault for creating this circle and doing wrong to a lot of people. If he actually created a posse of friends like Kendrick or Cole he would be better off but instead he's just a brand dealing with brands.

IRONYeah I think Drake thought oh family matters is enough and planned his side of the beef but didn't really account for Kendrick at all, even like another "warm up" track after Euphoria to see what more Kendrick had to say would've helped. He was just way too overconfident.
Meet The Grahams is a great work of fiction, that doesn't take too much away from it, but I dislike when people act like it's the defacto bible in decontructing drake as a man... Kendrick just wanted to entertain, diss and win the beef, it worked and the release timing was perfect.
