GTA would’ve fit in perfectly with self-titled. This is restoring the feeling

Yeah this album is fire. Best album since The WIZRD for sure, exactly what we needed from him after a few years of mixed bags

I enjoy the album a lot but some songs in the first half are overproduced. A less- is-more approach would’ve gone a long way. The second half sounds way more focused

I’m probably in the minority but production doesn’t matter to me that much. It’s very important, same as lyrics, but I care a lot more about the vocal performance in songs. A song can have a mid beat but if the rapping or singing is fire it’s a good song to me. Don’t really care about fancy transitions or cinematic instrumentals, I want to hear music that is emotionally compelling

For this album Future’s delivery is very somber which can be hard but I prefer when he has more energy. There’s not much emotion to these songs which is weird because that’s usually Future’s strong suit. I’ll see if it grows which it probably will. Def curious to hear what part 2 will sound like

There’s a time and a place for those cinematic elements in production. This album was not the place for that. That Hans Zimmer, Ludwig Goransson energy isn’t needed on every single record.
