    Dont feel like going back n forth any more but its not abt loops, the beats back then had foundations which were interesting enough to stood on their own merit without needing all the extra overproduction

    Metro is in a whole other planet of style and exposure and future is 40 years old

    Tbh Future fans don’t care about that artsy nonsense we just wanna hear him spill out that pain. Nothing more nothing less

    The cinematic overproduced sound works for Travis and 21 because they need it to make up for having no emotional weight in their music

    Yea, the Heroes and Villains approach doesn’t fit a Future album at all

    Monster isn’t even in my top 3 future records so I don’t care that much but let’s be real, everybody was hyped because of the chemistry they had in 14-15. The average fan wasn’t considering what you mentioned, they were expecting the same or more quality of their previous work

    We’ve been listening to yeat beats where six producers have been layering like eight synths and triple time hi hats at 115 bpm but now metros overproducing for having drum breaks on strings

    The overproduction isnt in the layering (because these beats are flimsy as hell) but the structure is hamfisted wannabe mbdtf. The songs dont have the soul to justify the grandeur behind them

    I think this is top 5 future off rip some of his best raps on this, flows are extremely consistent, the project stays moody but picks up strides at the right times, features are amazing, beats have great composition and metro adds a lot of stuff but also touches his classic sounds in places without falling back on nostalgia
