Was a lil bothered by the lack of backtracking but after a certain point which is still pretty early things open wide up. Loving it

Depends if you like the genre, ever play hollow knight or other 2D platformers?

Question for people who got it; how do the controls feel? Everything smooth and are you able to make quick changes with the switch controller?

honestly not a big fan of 2D games anymore so i’ll probably skip

if you’ve never played them before and have a switch online i’d recommend playing super metroid
see if you like that and maybe make a purchase based on that

personally i’ve been loving the game but as a huge fan of the series i comes as no surprise for me

idk man i used to love them but i just get to mad because all the newer ones are so hard

Well the newer 2D Metroid games aren't hard at all. Actually they made them quite newcomer friendly. Especially compared to Super Metroid and the GBA games. They give more hints where a hidden item is in a area and they even have Samus the counter melee attack that can combo with a shot.

ill have to watch some videos maybe i’ll enjoy this
