I just peeped this album in full for the first time last week, and I can’t believe I slept on it for so long. I think this may be his best produced record.
When you play the first half NJS songs loud as s*** >>
Can’t let her get away

that beat is RIDICULOUS
This is the first time whilst on KTT2 and even the original KTT that I think I’ve searched to talk about Michael.
Ive been a fan since roughly the HIStory Era and the BODTF Era. Some of my earliest memories was dancing to the Earth Song when it was regularly played on TV. I’m old enough to remember Invincible dropping and going to the store as a kid to buy the CD.
Lately I’ve really missed the times when I was younger and remembered the times when we had rumours of new music from a new album coming. The hype online was so good from the new pictures in the US/Middle East/Europe.
The hype in 2003 was great too when a new album was coming but all that bullshit coming out shelved what was coming and they went with a greatest hits album.
It’s great to see that Michael still gets a lot of love in 2025. I really thought heads were starting to turn after the BS documentary 5 years ago. It really is great to see the majority really do believe Michael was innocent.

Yes, that's one thing I think I've always found hard to explain to newer fans - the excitement Michael would bring seeing him out and about, the rumours of the new album etc.
When the London Underground had the posters of This is It and we got word MichaelJacksonLive.com was running a presale sign up before the press conference.. it was great to get one last 'Michael-mania' before he left us. I hope that helped him see how loved he still was.
I remember the World Music Awards in 2006 being a great example as well - even if the press the next day did a 180 saying he got boo'd etc. I had friends at the event who'd bought the overnight editions raving about MJs big comeback etc yet by the morning the press run was that he'd been boo'd out of the building.
Hopefully the biopic continues the positive MJ wave in a huge way - like you said, people see through the lies & I think MJ weathered the storm.

Brooooo the hype that he was gonna perform at the WMA 2006 was HUGE!! And he said on the red carpet that he wasn’t performing
The crowd was absolutely manic. The press were always going to lie no matter what he did.

I remember the press were convinced he was going to do Thriller with all the zombies etc

Was you ever on MJNI or MJNO?

I only really got into the forums using MJJC as the trial started in 05. I'm still on there now but it's definitely not what it used to be. Also used MJHO and Max Jax sporadically but that would've been Thriller 25 till around early 2010s?
Other than that it was the typical blog types like MJSTAR but they were 'bought' by the Estate around the time of the Cascio fiasco suddenly claiming the songs were MJs best work etc. Sad to see but I guess with MJ passing it was only natural these things would fade.
Before that it would've been MJNI's news hotline then info from Gloria who ran MJNI etc. I remember MJNI touting a return for This is It that never materialised.
Don't know if you ever used Jetzi but it's still up and running. Blast from the past:

Unfortunately not - we don’t know how far it got
Number Ones was released the day Neverland was raided, so plans were shelved a while before the investigation was raised.
Some of the songs from that era were on The Ultimate Collection, and we know from notes MJ had in his house when he died he planned to continue to expand them
Beautiful Girl is one of the songs

The level of knowledge here from yourself and the conversation already makes me so glad I decided to search for a Michael thread on here. Sounds corny to say that but I’ve missed open discussions like this for a while.
There was a documentary that was due to air that night the allegations dropped in 03. If I remember correctly it was real positive documentary and it was building his come back. I remember waiting for it and it never came. To then go online and see a warrant had been issued for his arrest. I believe he’d be alive today if those allegations hadn’t come. His health was so much better 2002-2003 compared to just 5-6 years later.

Yeah, 'The One'. I think they aired it a few months after.

When will be the day we get an official release of Hot Street smh :(
I think they must be saving it for an album and not an anniversary release.
It's the best of the Thriller outtakes for me, maybe it'll get released with the rumoured biopic soundtrack.

Here to say We’ve Had Enough is one of the greatest tracks that he did. The Ultimate Collection was such a good release. They need to stick it on Spotify.

It was in the US.
In the UK, it was “The Michael Jackson Story” that got cancelled.
TUC was on Spotify for a short time, but got taken off - no idea why, but you’re right it should absolutely be on there. Beautiful Girl is one of MJs best melodies imo.
Let's celebrate it on here. We can all play Michael Jackson: The Experience together.
