Strawberry fields forever, Blackbird, Happiness Is a warm gun are examples of elite songwriting. MJ is great but I can go through a catalogue of great songwriting from Paul,George and Lennon. Plus I shouldn't have said better production wise technically but definitely more innovating. In there era they introduced slicing tape loops and used backwards recordings. that was innovative for a rock band at their time

MJ is one of my favorite artist plus I also think Teddy Riley for remember the time. MJ was a great songwriter but he's competing with a group here. also MJ didn't write Human Nature

I prefer listening to MJ over the Beatles but you guys are letting you're bias take over certain obvious things.
MJ is the greatest music icon to live but when it comes to songwriting, production and creativity theres a lot of artist you guys look over whether their black or white.
