id argue that's the purest kind of love too, nothing's more pure than that.

i work as a lifeguard right and the pool i work at has two slides. there's got to be a lifeguard at the top of the slides to tell kids when they can go down.

I started asking them questions like "dolphins or sharks" or "panda bears or koala bears" instead of just saying "you can go" every time bc i was getting bored up there. that sounds simple but it turns out the kids absolutely loved it. they get really into it and ask u questions back and tell u what stuff they want u to ask them abt and so on right. and instead of just brushing off whatever the kids would talk to me about i tried listening and treating them w genuine respect and kindness, no matter how "annoying" they might be. of course the kids love this. in me they see a cool older kid who is rlly fun and actually listens to them, they always tell me im their favorite lifeguard. sometimes they'll even do s*** like bring me random s*** on stand or search for me when im not working the slides so they can talk to me. All this is great yk, i'm less bored and the kids have more fun at the pool.

but here's the interesting thing, and why i brought this up in the first place. before long i realized that when i was working top of the slides i was smiling wide the entire time i was up there. turns out not only were the kids happier this way, I was happier doing this. It feels good making kids happy, it unlocks a chakra or some s*** like that, just releases dopamine. It's actually incredibly satisfying work because I get to leave the pool feeling like i've really made a million kid's days better, like i've really spread some love and positivity into this world.

I've noticed this even more now that i've started teaching swim lessons, nothing hits quite like seeing ur lesson kids smile. there's just something so incredibly pure about helping kids and making them happy. and i guess if u never had the experience of doing that it's difficult to understand. but those who know, well they know what spreading love feels like.

and this shouldn't have to be said but obviously there's zero sexual/pedo s*** going on here if some adult was flirting w one if my lesson kids i would beat the s*** outta them. Something tells me MJ would do the same if an actual pedo tried anything w one of the kids he cared for

TLDR making people (including kids) happy and spreading love to everyone around u is a wonderful thing to do and it feels absolutely amazing. and it's f***ing tragic that Michael got so much unnecessary s*** for it. because people didn't believe loving the world like that was possible.
