Kanye really be taking chapters out of his Idols playbooks.

MJ: "..cause everybody has pre-conceived idea in terms of what they think I should do or that I shouldn't do.. The way that I go about my life, is I set examples. If it inspires you, great."

MJ was basically just saying "I wanna play basketball and make money don't ask me to stand for anything"

    It's not that deep lol

nah not alike at all. Ye fully endorsed someone and took a side.
the only thing that was similar was the expectations ppl had of both MJ and Ye to be liberal or support someone

Y'all assume that Kanye only supports Trump to be controversial. I don't think that's true.

He was supporting him before he even won. He clearly was feeling something and people had expectations of him as a black man.

Well... f*** those people. Kanye was always in a box for those people. He had to support the blue side because that's what celebrities or blacks do. And because he didn't fit that box he started to suffer backlash.

only difference is, trump has never really been in a box lmao

    privileged from day 1

it’s not like no one supported him either

kanye suffered backlash mostly because of the nonsense he was saying

I disagree that kanye "wants" to stir controversy, he just doesn't shy away from it.

You think someone like Hov wasn't happy with Trump tax cuts? He just won't say it in public.

When you try to unite the nation and immediately alienate everyone instead
