the proper thing to do would be to apologise to mbj and delroy booth in private, feel like some of you just want a public shaming out of spite

    yeah f*** this guy honestly

Okay, "if you were offended" is pretty crazy though. The least he could do is put some effort in his apology

EDIT: I don't think the person with tourettes is the one who gave the half hearted apology actually

so mbj and delroy must suffer international humiliation and dehumanisation in what should be a great moment for them but saying free palestine is too far?

no, this should've been cut from the broadcast, its disgusting and frankly horrible optics for tourettes rep as well

no free palestine shouldve been kept in they wouldve had to remove the film from any awards as whole point of film is this tbh the fact he hasnt properly apologised i think he should be stripped of his awards

basically if u got a film up for awards n the whole context is about tourrettes awareness u cant not invite him as u scared of him showing his tourrettes u put him up for an award

  • Tricky situation

If you invite the man on the basis of inclusivity, you potentially invite situations exactly as the one that occurred. You’re being inclusive trying to highlight that living with Tourette’s can be ugly, sporadic and uncomfortable. Obviously not just for the person themselves but for everyone else around them.

If you give them a separate room away from the rest of the audience, kick them out after outbursts, or don’t invite them at all you risk being discriminatory on the basis of the condition.

Kicking him out would be what happens to anyone who did this without Tourette’s, but the optics are still “His condition got him kicked out”

Or maybe the dudes just a racist piece of s***

They like reposting the same misinformation using the same pronouns rather than names without reading.

People in this thread were wishing violence on him . You can’t say nobody . People acknowledged that him staying in a situation he was making people uncomfortable made the situation worse
