HaroldsChickenWish he and the baftas would have taken that precaution . Craziest thing would unfortunately be if this is the first time he said it . Doubtful though . He should have taken better precautions knowing he may say it and how charged that word is as he knows the history. Say as he has used b word at airport and said other things . I don’t think pedestal is recognizing as @sab does that him having that specific kind of Tourette’s and saying it doesn’t make him racist at all . Wanting to tell other users “ do you are okay a white man says the n word “ “ he could cover his mouth “ and more things you said for likes in early pages isn’t just wrong it’s dangerous. I as Sab understand if he knew it was a possibility he should have requested better accommodations and they should have been provided for him

I never accused John of being racist though, I understand that he involuntarily said the word as a result of his condition

JaeRellMy solution.. Delroy, MBJ, and Davidson put out a joint statement condemning bafta and bbc.. highlighting their disgust and disappointment.
It’s a good solution but unlikely to happen unless delroy and mbj truly felt as we do that they put everyone involved in a bad situation setting David up to fail

vaylaAfter conducting a thorough evaluation of what happened, it’s clear the fault lies solely with the BBC/BAFTA crew.
It’s reported that Davidson had multiple outbursts during the show prior to this incident. A line has to be drawn, even when you are trying to create an inclusive environment for everyone.
The BAFTAs are also broadcast on a tape delay. So this should have been removed from the show. It’s obvious that a clip like this would go viral. Not editing out this, but editing out Akinola Davies’ “free Palestine” comment is unacceptable.
I did some reading about Tourettes since I know little about it, and I learned more about Davidson’s past. I feel bad for him because Tourettes is so debilitating. I feel bad for Jordan and Lindo because there’s no way you can really address what was said without being a d***, even though it’s humiliating in the moment.
I saw the BBC publicly apologized for airing the comment, but I still feel like it’s not enough. Hopefully all three make amends.
