And what's real hilarious is that form of Tourettes doesn't automatically make you shoutout slurs.
Whether people like to accept it or not, that s*** is definitely learned. Now whether it was intentionally taught to him, or it's something he picked up from the environment or people he grew up around, is another story.
But I'm pretty sick of this s***ty excuse I'm seeing of "Hey guys it's Tourette's cut him slack" when there's s*** he himself could've done to prevent/avoid it, along with s*** BAFTA could've done to prevent it or at least clean it up.
BAFTA more concerned with censoring calls for a free Palestine, but can't be bothered to edit around two Black men getting called nlgger and having their moment completely shat on.
i agree there were def plenty of things that could've been done to prevent this from happening by bafta and the guy himself
but im not educated enough on tourettes, is shouting that out loud common? can he not help the volume at which he verbalises his tics?
Not sure if this clip has been posted, but apparently the guy talked about accidental tics of slurs in an interview a few months ago.
https://twitter.com/pooralien/status/2025925245287145590Yah idk what they were thinking having him anywhere near the stage
They basically created the perfect scenario for this
I do hope that all of this discourse leads to better handling and betrer accomdations for those afflicted with neurological and mental conditions
Like for sports games and concerts and plays and stuff they have entire rooms and areas designed to accomdate those who have autism, as things maybe too overwhelming for them so they have a space to relax and decompress
While its not a one to one apples to apples comparsion or solution to handling of all neurological disorders, i do think these awards shows should take that into consideration.
He CAN'T control what he says its literally like having someone in your own body forcibly making you say s***
Lets not s*** on him for what he CANT control
Alright xanta maybe you right. I’ll look into this condition.
He CAN'T control what he says its literally like having someone in your own body forcibly making you say s***
Lets not s*** on him for what he CANT control
So it was just not possible for him to step out of the theater to prevent himself from having an outburst, despite him being in situations where he's done it before and had to face those consequences?
What kind of apology or actin can be taken to even help this
knowing how tourette’s works, he obviously has a deep shame about what he said. an apology and a clarification that it wasn’t in his control should be good, but idk. he really should’ve asked for/been offered better accommodations to prevent this
apparently the reason BBC used for not cutting the segment was that they didn't hear the n word ?? 😭
What I could argue is a man audibly talking into the mic “free palestine” versus a man yelling off stage the n word you could feign you couldnt hear it
IF I was playing devil’s advocate but Im not so f*** Britain.
Nah ya'll spliffed @NobodyWins ???? First @Beach_kneega and then ya'll muted @ShintaroKago last night smh. Mods tripping

They’ve been abusing powers

This is such a stupid argument. Even if you don't use them, who doesn't know slurs in 2026? If someone with coprolalia watches one Tarantino movie, that's suddenly an indictment of their learned vocabulary?

fr im never playing devils advocate for any british person
BBC wanted views and clicks and thats why it was kept in. its that simple
they threw MBJ, delroy AND davidson under the bus for content and attention
realistically how else he's learning that word in the 70s/80s
TV, movies, books, even otherwise you can know a word without being 'surrounded' by people saying it, the angle that it's suspicious that he even knew the word is ridiculous honestly, Scotland doesn't have some kind of cut-off from the rest of the Western world, I'm sure we all know slurs ITT that we'd absolutely never say, them being in our brains isn't indicative that we were surrounded by bigotry
I don’t think he needed to shout I’m sorry immediately after, what was said was said. But he really should’ve made an effort to talk to them…
mental disorders can make people stop eating, drinking, cause harm to themselves, to other people, even their own children, without them actually wanting that
why is it so difficult to understand that also applies to tourette’s?
Until I see an apology...

No worries man
I've just seen this angle too many times and it just doesn't make sense

https://twitter.com/pooralien/status/2025925245287145590so nobody organizing the damn show did adequate research on something that from this clip seemed an incredibly likely outcome
@NobodyWins got spliffed for crimes he did offline he ate my puppy bro
That’s not against the KTT rules
well the larger discussion really has nothing to do with Davidson because the real CRUX of the issue is the reality that are so few things you could say to a white person that could be even on par what calling a black person the n word which is the discussion I think is trying to be had underneath all of this.
it's hard for me to sort of it think about this in words but there is something to be said about the fact that offensive language towards white people is simply just "fuck you" or something but for black people it's worse and that has nothing to do with Tourettes syndrome or Davidson as a person and what he actually thinks about black people.
They said something about some childrens movie won and he said "fuck you" to them. Theres way worse things you can say regarding children if we're running with the "hes just saying the worst thing that comes to mind" reasoning
