But he had a certain sound that was unique for a bit then out of nowhere every underground conscious artist starting biting it and doing this hybrid thing with Mick/Kendrick/Logic. Can’t even tell you half the artists I’m talking about are because they faded into obscurity for me (it was during an era I was listening to a lot of sleeping on gems playlists) im not saying this is the reason. But it felt like his sound got bit and over saturated in the underground conscious scene for a bit.
