Praise our beloved 2x Crop mirrorless beauties here (photo AND video discussion encouraged)
Pause. These have a double crop sensor? Aren't these supposed to be the low light Kings?

no - they're known for not being as good as full frame in low light, but most video SLR style cameras bar sony's lineup and a few fringe canon/nikons worth using all use the format
plus apparently bird photog's love it cos they essentially double zoom

Interesting. Always thought you'd need the best low light performance for video.

kinda the opposite if you HAVE lights - it's obviously useful but if you light your scene well it's fine and if anything its counter intuitive to video/filmmaking to get a camera with low light performance instead of spending that money on a good lighting setup
that plus the fact that most cine cameras dont even use full frame cameras they're super 35 (around the size of an aps-c sensor or low level canon)
