Max they can do is 20$ . Otherwise they will be crunching to rush out games to fit the demand and need
$20 is kinda tax but still worth it
rather that than buy $70 15 hour single player games on PlayStation

There will still be better yearly deals than that and all access locks you in at a set price for 2 years as does buying now and stocking if you truly nervous
Gamepass and Xbox you save exponentially more money than a ps5
i haven’t spent a single dollar on a game besides game pass yet

I honestly want to see how it evolves in the next gen if they keep it around. Both MS and Sony have one foot into digital-only and with how everything is turning into a subscription model, im a little worried lol

Again the next Xbox will outclass ps6 in many ways
Sony finally has to wake up

I think you are missing my point and thinking in a "team ball" perspective. Yes, GP is a good deal atm but this seems to just be leading to a digital only model where you either sub-up or buy full price (most of the time) and that future is going to suck. I can already see MS saying that its players didnt buy as many physicals as before (bc of GP) right before they go all digital and really locked down a GaaS platform. Then, Sony may be forced to follow suit and we are one step closer to being renters not owners.

Lol they have said time and time again the game pass subscription allows gamers to buy more games . All micro transactions from all games they get a cut and it keeps gamers more consistently playing . I really don’t have time for the delusions of digital only when Mattrick drm Kinect is what got Phil to this position and nearly cost them everything. Why you think they would do that again is beyond me but I don’t have time to soothe your fears just cause Sony too cheap to advance with the times

Don't see how a digital future is such a fantasy to you but whatever

Digital only ? What’s the logic .
Digital only ? What’s the logic .
for one, the cost of production goes down since you wouldn't have to maintain contracts with various printers, plastic manufacturers, disc-stampers/whatever, licenses, shipping logistics, etc. It also cuts out the resell market so all copies of the game would have to be bought through their own shops at the price they want (which will be full price a lot of the time). plus, as gamers get used to subscription-based gaming, it makes the transition pretty easy. Adobe (a software suite i use daily) went sub-only and it sucks lol

But in this case too hard drive space and streaming isn’t where it needs to be . Making disc doesn’t compare to many of these big moves . I get what you are saying but they incentivize digital with sales. They have a major partnership with GameStop lol

Yeah thats why i was mainly thinking 6-7 years down the line in the next-gen. Storage will be cheaper then (or at least should be) as tech advances.
I hope that GS partnership still going in that future gen.

I mean at a certain point it will become “ what does it mean to physically own a game “ especially since many games on both consoles you have to connect to online to play even if you just have the disc and want offline modes . This constant cycle of patching game breaking bugs at launch and continuous updates
I’m confused on how many act like there will be a internet less future . If anything really Microsoft and Sony need to reach out to internet companies to create a special gamer package

It's not about internet access to me. It's about not truly owning anything and subscribing to everything, something I fear beyond gaming.
Publishers pushing out broken games is a different problem that i have an issue with and i attribute that to bad managers and greedy suits lol

“ not owning games and they can be taken at any time “
Looks at movie, tv shows , music industries .
Okay
Yall in here doing more hoping and wishing than anything. Too old for this s*** lmmfao
Just speculating fam, it's interesting to me
Gamepass hurts studios does it not? Feel like thats not a sustainable way to do business
In what way does it hurt studios . A lot of studios reported an actual increase of sales due to a game pass addition
The FPS esports fan base is especially awful
Faze players was threatening to have a dude killed just last week
Community just became a bunch of egotistical frat nerds
Good lord they are
You are speaking true facts
They aren’t nerds
They just sweat
