I don’t understand why games being $70 is such an issue now. Games were $60 from 2005-2020, and with inflation and the cost of games being higher to produce now, they were bound to go up eventually.

Extremely illogical to ever assume that games were gonna be $60 forever.

Also, NBA 2K was the first major game to release at $70, other studios followed their lead

All of Sony’s exclusives are made by Sony’s studios and have been exclusive to Sony since their inception.

That’s extremely different from buying the biggest game publisher in the world and making some of the biggest gaming franchises of all time exclusive to one console/service

Because almost all of these $70isd games, $80 here in canada are filled with mtx and are unfinished. Its rare for games to be like ragnarok

with the way games go on sale these days, i honestly haven’t felt the price increases tbh

makes me wonder how subscription models like day 1 game pass games are gonna affect the industry tho
