Sony has been “ alienating “ with certain moves though with many titles that people actually play not call of duty . Yes call of duty mainstream but people buy their games yearly to play for a month and put down . If war zone always comes to all consoles would anyone care ? Forgot about Warzone lol,that audience im talking about might not miss COD as long as Warzone is still multi-plat. I imagine with COD as an exclusive though,Activision/Infinity Ward would be willing to take more risk

War zone free to play and is a player base / micro transactions I can’t think of a reason Microsoft would make that exclusive . Sony only players would solely miss out on single player and multiplayer ( which the player base is dying ) . Destiny 2 is ps5 deals all the way and now Sony owns bungie . Destiny 2 players staying longer than call of duty yearly 60$ releases . If Microsoft buys call of duty and brings it to game pass they are just building out subscriptions. If there was a deal they could currently do where call of duty all comes to gamepass they would likely do that because it would still shift many to Xbox . Also a 10 year deal . In 10 years with or without Microsoft will call of duty still be the only multiplayer? Will battlefield get back on track , Apex , Fortnite , factions , new competito from bungie , Sony anything

Kill zone , syphon filter , Socom, resistance , Warhawk , starhawk . Regardless of how this goes they need more multiplayer. They already have single player linear narrative on lock

Xbox players not gonna own any of their games f***ing around with GP lol. But yea,warzone is all thats needed to please casual players on a wide scale,putting COD on gamepass would sell Xbox consoles though,and if COD goes on gamepass,their changing s*** about COD.

Yea,people who play longterm will want new weapons,new maps,new skins etc. Their gonna bite and feel the need to go ahead and own it after investing in the game. Its a great long term strategy in the end

Nintendo signed easy cause they have their multiplayer game . Sony has bungie and so many other studios with a huge lead so I’m actually confused on why they think stopping this is monumental. Microsoft is last place and again if Microsoft doesn’t get something going there won’t be a next Xbox

GameCube a slapper back before vr, portable gimmicks . I think their next console will be ps4 pro level or more lol at this point feels like they waiting for cost of parts to go down . Do they need a 4k 120fps tech though ? No not really . They drop some of the best designed first party games and let Microsoft Sony fight over third party . They will never be best place to play third party besides advantage of portable and more casual than steam deck

I think Sony doesn't really look at Destiny 2 as a system seller/COD equivalent,I don't think they want to work with that franchise to make it compete against a COD. Xbox is just a boring platform naturally,only the OG and 360 to some extent had any type of imagination put into it.

Xbox/MS has always been the evil empire but their winning people over with "play now,never own it" tricks. Of course you can get a leg up when your spending 70 billion on whole gaming publishers.

Im expecting Series S type power except with more ram,at least 12gigs. I don't think Nintendo cares about competing with the Steam Deck cause just like you said,their the master of first party games. Still hoping for a swerve tho

Sony vying this hard for call of duty . Activision blizzard we’re going to sell to Amazon or tencent regardless. They were shopping especially after controversy. I’m kind of surprised Sony hasn’t spent past few years making that next multiplayer game . They’ve dominated the single player realm and let third party do multiplayer experience . Which overall is just a risky move as they clearly know because single player is one purchase and maybe dlc . Also people can rent a god of war or buy it used . Time will tell though . Honestly I want Microsoft to get it so Sony is challenged in that realm but I also want Microsoft to make their own multiplayer giants again . Single player Starfield is cool beyond that they create weird fun experiences I don’t want them to try to out linear cinematic narrative Sony . Wish both companies were in a more understand their lane and frendlier competition recognizing they both have their audience. Lol more like Nintendo level confidence

Always wanted PS to go harder and go back to what made them PS in the first place. I don't know MS will light that fire or not but I know this is pissing Sony off lol. They have so many IPs to work with in their vault,but I think SOCOM could stand out so hard as a third person online tatical shooter,cause no ones really making tatical shooters where you need to interact with friends and such like that anymore.

Plus I think Sony should want to make/publish more experimental games and actually challenge the idea of what a game could be besides a game attempting to be a movie. I'd love to see a studio attempt to make a full fledged sequel to PaRappa The Rapper for example lol,like,just try and stretch peoples expectations again Sony.

You get me I think they are letting indies be their experimental side then paying the indies to be exclusive and present them at state of plays but I would love to see first party indie or experimental ideas . Still shocked they shutdown Sony Japan . Variety just always good . If Microsoft did console exclusives then timed pc drops that s*** would be annoying as f*** but would make people have to buy a console so glad they not doing that

Yep,I'd love to see an experimental game actually getting real support and sitting on a shelf in a store. Sony Japan shutting down most likely explain alots,Im assuming that was the weird,forward thinking side of PS. Sony isn't actually making bad games perse, their still more interesting then MS at the end of the day.

I just wanna see them take more risk and make more arcadey but weird games,not as entrees,but full course meals. Industry as a whole needs more weird full course meals

Not everything as you said needs to be 70$ spider man , god of war level . Have to fill those gaps because in most cases personally I rather play on pc than ps5
