It's always been back and forth like this. I've never seen Sony pull up charts and graphs and try to get Microsoft to work with them

But Sony complained about the acquisition though?

If they did it's probably because they know Microsoft is about to do some snake s*** lmao

Microsoft just looks lame in this scenario imo. They weren't doing this in previous console generations when they were leading sales like PS3 vs. 360

    Sore losers imo

Maybe because Sony wasn’t being an annoying gnat and b****ing and moaning crying about their deals

If Sony just shuts up and lets the deal go through like it should then none of this ever takes place.

What? You want Microsoft to just say “oh my apologies Sony. Since you don’t like it but everyone else does let’s just call the deal off”

  • Mar 2, 2023

Gamers win if the deal goes through. Period. Gamers win and consumers win.

Sony is being anti gamer and consumer as usual.

In the generation I mentioned they were until the tail end of the consoles life cycle

Xbox 360 shipped sooner and was cheaper at launch

If this deal goes through Microsoft will own a large piece of the industry and will control what they offer sony

    It's not about gamers

Xbox is trying to regain their place in the market and by brute force (sign this contract and we will let you have COD at the same time as every other platform)

Microsoft doesn't give af about gamers, they're down bad this gen

The Game Pass is an unequivocal win, and them owning Blizzard will be the best thing for that studio considering Microsoft’s track record with games like Age of Empires and Flight Simulator.

If they can’t own ABK then all gaming companies, Sony and Nintendo included, need to be banned from having any console exclusives - all games for all devices.

Bro you know that if the deal goes through then Microsoft only owns 10% of the gaming industry right? Right now they own 6.5% even without activision/blizzard.

If the deal goes through they would become the #3 gaming company lmao

Like it’s really overstated how big of a deal this is in terms of monopoly and s***. Sony just being cry babies

    It’s happening

    Lobbying won

    I aint mad tho

in the long run this will hurt consumers but in the next 5 years microsoft tryna fight for the market share will lead to better deals for us I believe

in the end tho all the acquisitions are meaningless if the games dont come and microsoft is famous for ruining developers

I’m confused . What situation happened in that generation where Microsoft was trying to make a big acquisition and a competitor was doing their best to stop it. They had no reason to do this in that generation , your comparison is confusing. How is it being a sore loser to provide evidence to showcase why you believe the deal should go through

This seems like a fanboy response since I’m struggling to deduct the logic

They arent EA but they have a history of closing studios

Also Bungie (which isnt part of microsoft anymore) and Obsidian havent really blessed us since during the time or since they were at microsoft and these studios were class

This an odd example because 99% of us didn’t play any of the games of the studios that fully closed or creative directors and people left formed own studios etc
