I think so. I feel like a newer generation would love it especially with the incorporation of sounds on Tik Tok and Instagram nowadays.

I think they would need to be able to have each song played be attached to a or multiple streaming services, that way artists would be more inclined to agree to this and to keep costs low on that end while providing money for the artists.

hmmm that's interesting. maybe it won't happen which would be a bummer. hoping they're able to find a solution. I think the franchise would be successful if they're willing to figure it out.

It’s just that Microsoft could’ve done that without monopolizing and acquiring companies, they could’ve just paid to have starfield, es6, fallout 5, call of duty, etc. on gamepass without acquiring devs

Xbox actually trying to be competitive is healthy for the industry. They and Nintendo (Wii U era) basically conceded the last generation to PlayStation on a silver platter.

well yeah because they need money, which is sad, they made one of the best selling games of all time. Also Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft also make money when there games sell so it’s f***ed up they’re even a position where they’re struggling and need to be bought but that’s capitalism

Microsoft could’ve offered to partially fund starfield, es6, etc for gamepass and maybe 1 year exclusivity or something. I just think it’s better going forward if more games are third party, not less.

Microsoft would never win with everything being third party. They f***ed up by making a bad console in the generation where digital gaming took off. Most people have their games on PS5 and aren't going to switch.

Microsoft tried to do those things but due to where they are in the market , they would be paying way more than competitors for any form of exclusivity . That was one of the many things highlighted during the whole FTC discourse. Sony were able to do deals like that cheaper and with way more ease for obvious reasons

Starfield apparently was already leaning toward exclusivity to PS5 which escalated Microsoft’s decision
