They could do whatever they want in 6 years when the gaming space is readjusted completely but rn none of that s*** people talking about rn makes sense. This is a vision thing but streams of revenue coming in from a side of your investment in which you have to do no work for is kinda nice for a CEO lol

For current games I can see them leaving them alone. Why touch what's not broken I agree. But new games? You're still having to do work with Sony. Optimize these games for their hardware. Work with Sony's diagnostics on how many games and etc to ship.

Instead? They can just leave Sony to figure out what to do while they now have the studio in their command.

You think Sony is releasing any studio exclusive on xbox as well?

People seem to always forget corporations are not bringing us together so we can all join hands as one big happy gaming community.

That is a rough number of monthly players on that s***. Yall act like the general population still doesn't play this s*** every day

It’s not going exclusive. I’m not sure why that number matters here. If anything, it’s just further proving the point that Microsoft won’t ever make it be that. It’d hurt their pockets way too much. Most people aren’t buying consoles in huge amounts for one or two exclusive games in 2022.

COD isn’t even all that right now lmao. People don’t buy PlayStations to play COD.

actually they do. 56% of sales on the last CoD were PS4 and PS5

a new sony exclusive doesn't drop every month. these people need s*** to play year round. guess what they turn to? 2k, fortnite, CoD, etc

even when a sony exclusive drops it's not like the majority of people buy them. God of War has sold 20 million copies to date and they have 100 million active users on the network

For the same reason Sony owned MLB The Show is no longer console exclusive. It doesn’t make financial sense for most franchises. Wake me up if someone buys Take Two… that’s the only acquisition that really would affect the gaming world on a big level.

    COD is a massive franchise.

We are still early in this gen. This can sway a lot of things. We've seen how fast things can turn on to either console player from the past.

This deal is not even done until 2023. Now, they have a whole year of people buying into xbox JUST because of this news today.

Plus gamepass gets noting but praise

They acting like we're halfway across the gen and xbox is getting stomped. They've been recovering pretty quickly and this is just another aid.

If you really think all major games you care about will still come to ps5 and Xbox gamers just get them on gamepass why are you mad ?
