They'll bring both back, the more exclusive games they have on gamepass the better, that's what raises its value

  • This probably would have been a big deal to me when I was like 16 but I don't even care about most of these games. I play like 2 or 3 games tops every year now

Do you have gamepass? Is there anywhere I can see what’s on it? I know they just got all 3 Hitman games. Those are so fun.

Had this on the gameboy advance. Classic. The human Shrek level was hard as hell though

Didnt forget so much as the launch of Xbox One Kinect BS nearly failed because of always on camera and DRM that angered gamers . As Gamepass continues it could get to the point of "okay you get to claim one game a year and own it forever even if your subscription ends" or " offline play ". Similiar to downloading your favorite episode from Netflix in case internet goes out. But realistically at least me personally will likely buy the games I want to fully support.

Game sales, DLC and vibrant communities will still matter even if Microsoft is raking in all that money it helps them in a way see what is successful.

I have for a while seen Phil Spencer vision(lol met him GDC 2015 very nice individual). Sony is moving in the old way of gaming and in so many ways it is dated. If PS5 had full backwards compatibility, gamepass and select sony pass games they restored online servers or ways for player to play old games in community with each other.

How Sony went from PS3 where you are basically second life and could walk around the house to avoiding multiplayer is beyond me. They got into the habit of We will pay for a destiny exclusive, cod game mode and just kept going on smaller things.

Microsoft has openly said without Gamepass they would have ended and PS4 would have "won" eliminating them from the competition. Everyone who says "THIS IS BAD FOR GAMING". Needs to explain to me "talk slowly" what would happen to all Microsoft gaming studios 343, Coalition and so many more (before bethesda and this)

THEY WOULD BE MASS FIRINGS IF MICROSOFT DIDNT CONTINUE WITH GAME PASS.

Some of them would form third party studios but many of them would just cease to exist or be begging for jobs specifically at sony studios. I went to school for this so I am baffled that some don't get Microsoft being competition is GOOD

Microsoft buying Activision is debatably good

Raven Software, Treyarch, Sledghammer games, Infinity ward have been Call of Duty sweatshops for a combined 50-60 years.

What other studio has only made one game and genre for that long without going crazy. This opens them up to use their talents to make what they want to make.

Bethesda in their case its make what they need to make with the best resources

    Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Wolfenstein

they weren't gassed out on those nor were they over producing them the issue was more bugs

Call of Duty companies any company making FPS like Call of Duty for 20 years will automatically kind of breed a toxic environment of bros especially with their turn over rates and use of game testers for like minimum wage(lol I nearly took an offer in Minnesota 2019 and have friends that have worked there to get foot in the door )

Like they don't understand that not only will we not need a yearly call of duty we won't want want because microsoft like "you said we had no games you said we were just shooters. What if we gave you the greatest shooting games of all time "

Because Microsoft like sony last gen is seeing yes install base matters

but so does install base in tournaments

Sony SFV move bought them into fighting game scene last gen and they took over

shooter scene they kind of took over with call of duty

if your console and controller is barely at tournaments or being streamed then you lose a lot of a market share that you wanted
