gamepass doesn’t have every new game, it doesn’t even have 90% of the games I play

What we’re talking about is that it MIGHT have starfield or elder scrolls as exclusives, in which case I would just buy on pc even though I’d prefer it to be on PlayStation (my favorite console)

I just got one in 2020 but honestly I haven’t used it much because of my PS5 and switch

I mainly use it for blender and photoshop rn

I believe exclusives are good for the gaming industry. It allows console manufacturers to stay competitive, which means better games for consumers.

Also I imagine that if these manufacturers stay super competitive with each other, it won't lead to a one sided affair or a monopoly.

If you mean permanent that way no, you will not have access to the games after your subscription. What i think he's getting at is xbox studio games will stay on the game pass permanently while third party games cycle through and don't stay on the platform (which arguably makes a better point for having purchased the game as you will never worry about it leaving the service)
