i feel you but his caption for the single announcement is "took a lot of life to finish this one fr" - since the last album we done been thru the pandemic, he split up, got back together, then divorced his wife, and who knows what else. could be he was just tryna get himself all the way right so the music could be up to par and reflect all that's been going on.

yh i hear that n im prob being quite selfish as a music consumer but i just seen that teasing back n forth over months /years come back n bite artists when they deliver mid both usher n jt flopped n they weren't even heavy teasing stuff that wasnt really gaining traction also labels heads prob be looking at him like unless they intentionally keep pushing it back knowing it gonna be a tax write off for them the album finally drops the show he did wasnt really lauded n was more riduculed cos he was stretching his skin with metal attachments while flying above the crowd no-one was like 'what an event this album really is the best he's ever made!' hype on 0 for public atm

i think he was probably ready to go with those 2023 singles, but went in and reimagined some stuff. whether that was due to the reception of those songs or just real life s*** happening.

i do agree about that live performance though. really odd how he was doing interviews around it and the practices he was undergoing to be able to pull it off, and then the show happened and...nothing. hardly a peep. it just sounds like something that should've been quite a spectacle, especially for a bigger artist like him. like were NDAs signed or something? lol
