Y’all seeing this? It’s kind of wild. I mean we all know that B!NK created the original beat, but obviously Mike took it to another level. B!NK is salllllty though.

Devil In A New Dress got the powerrrr.

They both deserve equal credit. The sample is literally the center of the song and why its so recognizable. But the strings, piano and guitar solo is what elevate it to be a top 20 hip hop song

Mike's right. The B!nk good Friday version is dope, but the beat switch takes it to another level

Hahaha, so basically Mike things the same way or even less of Kanye, as samples and drums thats all that Kanye does.
I think it is B!nk's choice of sample and how he cut it plays big role on a track. It is almost if not the best beat on the album.

bink coming off as a lame

Mike Dean taking credit for DIAND for playing a guitar solo in the middle is f***ing disgusting, he's always been a charlatan imo

Kanye is smart enough to know musicality isn’t his strong suit whereas bink is totally content with sample and drums , that’s the difference

No disrespect to bink or other sample based producers because you don’t always need musicality to make a great song

  • Nov 23, 2019

mike dean took it to another level. strings, bass, guitar but BINK found the sample. They both deserve equal praise.

He’s not taking credit for the whole song he’s just stating that his contributions brought new life to it, which it absolutely did

The bassline is poppin plus the piano, Strings, guitar and thunderstorm make it feel like a Sade song

All that is irrelevant and wouldn't exist without Bink making the beat, Mike Dean exposed himself by talking down on sampling, but i'm not surprised by that

It’s not irrelevant because the album version is clearly better than Good Friday version
