Full album on yt:
Wanted to post it now since the summer is coming to an end and tbh I fell like sunset / night after a hot summer day is the best setting for this live album. Dense, energetic music paired with congested mix and abundance of melting wah-wah pedal (which Miles even plays his trumpet with here) For me it all comes together perfectly this time of the year like in no other season, unlike some of his other live albums from that period.
It's funky, extremely dense jazz-fusion record with three guitarists, lots of unrelentless rhytms and grooves, usual jazz record suspects: such as trumpet, saxophones and even flute. with no piano or anything like that besides occasional organ, which Miles utilizes to signal transition from one piece to another.
If you never heard this one maybe it's the best time of the year to check it out. Or, if you already familiar with it but didn't happen to spin it during a hot season, maybe try and see how it goes

Never heard this album but this post convinced me I gotta change that 🔥
This version of Turnaroundphrase is baller, Miles’ playing is manic
The whole first track goes like crazy. I think it's the hardest Miles and the band ever sounded.
