I can't remember the last time I had a game on my phone
I always felt it's a bit antisocial when someone around you would rather play a game than look around
But then I realized I'm also sitting on my phone just to pass the time when I'm in public transport or smthn
So now...
Do you think it's better for your brain to play a game on your phone for 15 min (game like... Monument Valley for example. So something pretty and thought out not just crushing candies)
Or to scroll through IG, Twitter, Reddit, KTT and then repeat the cycle once you run out of social media apps?

The "social" aspect of social media is becoming extremely toxic and it slowly kills your mind
But playing an engaging game is just something to pass the time
Also you're right about the book ting. I always try to put a kindle or a book in my backpack but sometimes you're going on a date or smthn and you don't have anywhere to put them in so you're left with your phone
Both can simply be to pass the time and don't have to be a bigger deal if you don't make em out to be
I play Temple Run 2 constantly. Top 1% of players for high score. I’m not proud but I am at the same time.

our attention span is a lot shorter thanks to phone so don’t force yourself to finish a book. focus on finishing a chapter when you get a phone itch. it’s rewarding af when you just focus on attacking a book in chunks.
The only game I play on my phone is Toon Blast since 2018
I joined a really good team, somehow pulled off a hostile takeover of sorts, & I'm now the team leader

I have a copy of Six Characters in Search of an Author and it fits really nicely in my back pocket. Figure books around that page length also fit the bill
