They are either stuck or the pressure crushed them. It's a s***ty way to die. I almost hope they all got crushed and aren't still on that submarine panicking, going insane and then suffocating to death. I couldn't imagine going out like that and wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

He did, but he took his own submarine named the Deepsea Challenger. It was built by Acheron Project Pty Ltd. I don't think he ever took this one, but I could be wrong.
