Just off the top of my head from what I remember, it's her indie/slacker rock style with a nice dash of Americana/folk and some bossa nova towards the second half. Really nice use of strings, and a fiddle. Lyrics from what I could catch were very "well if you can't laugh at your own pain".

My god her vocals are insane
The concept is such a tease only to find out this is another perfectly cosy album from her again. I enjoy early Mitski cause she had grittiness in both sound and the lyrics, and that's a quality that's been missing from her recent works
