That's not the idea. The idea is that ppl tend to over look a celebs faults when a celeb dies(assuming said faults are in a grey area that where we can't definitively prove they were guilty).
Even on just a personality level. If a celeb was just a mean a******; ppl tend to frown upon you if you say "So-and-so was an a******" after they die.
