The Eminem Show is Eminem's magnum opus. That album was literally his peak. MMLP is his second best project.

and I also prefer MMLP's production over TES'

TES has a more relatable subject matter that isn't trapped in a certain era but musically I prefer MMLP it holds up a lot better.

TES musically sounds like 2002 to me whereas there is a lot of production on MMLP I feel would work now. So it's a bit of a tossup.

At this point I have TES and MMLP equal and it kinda depends on my mood which one I prefer tbh.

Yeah this isn't a popular opinion but SSLP is pretty up there for me too. Album def sounds like 99' early Em and he didn't get his sound down fully but mans was just spittin to spit and just lettin it rip.

I treat SSLP more like a mixtape then an album tho. Doesn't have that cohesiveness of his later albums but the songs themselves I still enjoy. Obviously not for everyone in terms of subject matter but I enjoy it.

For me its MMLP>Relapse>TES>SSLP

Mmlpcis great. The Eminem show is the last of his good albums and it's the worst of those first three albums.

I don't see how TES is the worst out of the first 3. I think it was dope.

Relapse, MMLP and TSSLP are my top three.

I never really got into TES or Encore, but they are good, TES especially.

I mean that's not something I would be willing to debate with you I think all three albums are great. I just so happen to like the first two more. But if you think the Eminem show is better that's fine it's not like it's one of trash albums that s*** is great.

TES is Em at the culmination of his prime but I always lean more to MMLP because what that album represented to him at the time
He responded to everything in MMLP & came out on top

MMLP is Em’s “fuck you” album. Like when Ye dropped Yeezus. Anybody that talked s*** about him he went 10 times harder. I think the reason it’s his best is because it’s his most authentic one. Most of his other albums are trying recapture how he felt making this one.

MMLP sounds even more refreshing in today’s bland hip-hop space, lyric wise. So yes, OP is right

I really love his first 3 all the same mmlp impact narrowly edges out these rest but I wouldn't argue anyone putting tes as his best
