that last joint should be ILLEGAL. that beat was so f***ing hard
I’m sayiiing
Ps verse on pour some henny is insane.
I know ps verse from clear black skies, it was from a song someone did by individually buying verses from p, hav and big noyd. I remember how incredible that verse was. Glad it found its way to an actual mobb album.
I used to look up"featuring prodigy" on youtube and filter it by most recent. Thats how i would find new verses he did for randoms
I finished it. Now I am sad
Does it sound like an actual solid album and not a regular ‘posthumous’ release?

Its def way above a posthumous release. Id say its kinda similar to their 2014 album. You can tell the alchemist produced tracks where from around the time albert einstein was made. And not with mobb in mind, but for a p &alc collab.
I watched 3 interviews al and hav did, and they essentially said that P directed the album. Every song is clearly build around what P was saying. Its not too dissimilar to when they used to record back in the day, P lays a verse, then hav does. Still for me it felt like they carried the ghost of P to the finish line, which gets more haunting when P talks about passing away and not being there anymore. What I do like is thar hav doesn't mention P being dead once, only nas does it one time i think. But that time its fitting. To me it felt like this is the best sendoff they could've given Mobb Deep and P. Its done in a really respectful way and lets prodigy shine.

Great write up ty
this album imo should of had griselda conway lox maybe a kendrick ft
No
I can't find the original song I lifted it from, but heres the clear black skies verse in a mix i did years ago @2:28

I think it's beautiful that Hav managed to track it down, and then start his verse in the same manner P did
Scorpio child it was written in the stars
Gemeni child it was written in the stars
I always thought that was such a beautiful line, Even named a Prodigy compilation album after it. So for Hav to actually find it, and put it on the album, and to repeat the line, recognizing its greatness is ill.
Ill probably be yapping in this thread for a while btw
edit: I found the original track. 137 views lol

i was looking for the original and stumbled on this one.
this is a whole ass mobb deep track, with only 32k views
Music vid for down for you out in 2 hours

This final song is insane.
