why doesn’t the husband just take the wife’s name
Why you doing this? Blink twice if you're in danger.

Men have superior physical strength and shouting capabilities which they might historically have used to assert dominance in matters like these

Lowkey I been kinda thinking I'll hyphenate my last name too when me and my girl marry. If my daughter and wife gonna have both names, why shouldn't I?

Idc if it’s ignorant or close minded but no seed of mine is going to walk around with another last name other than mine

When she's fighting with you at the cheesecake factory in front of families and s***. So you have to remind her she's poor and hide the key to the Bugatti. Then she finds it, and there's an awkward silence.

It's supposed to be an honor. How you gone hold your father's name above mine? When a father gives his daughter away at the alter it's a sign of trust and respect. It seems there's a movement to take away these foundations. I ain't vibing with that.

what justification is there to following tradition other than the fact that it’s tradition
it’s not even culturally significant or logical it’s just fear of change
