It evens out the speed when you move ur cursor/reticle
For example the default response curve slowly increases the speed while you move ur cursor, linear is like 1:1 your cursors moves at a steady speed

They actually changed the aim assist system feel and it's made my aim so odd lately I'ma try linear later tonight
