He's a great friend but yeah I just told him to put a pin in this so we can come back to it later because I'm not well enough right now to engage in what I know is going to be nonsense

I am legitimately curious though at how that viewpoint even comes about so I do want to hear him out eventually

He sent me a voice message breaking down his basics on this:

1) Said it was easier to subvert a monarch vs a democracy with an entrenched majority esp if the system has been rigged (overthrowing one person vs the need for a whole cultural revolution)

2) Said it's not hard to start with a decent monarch even though the ultimate goal is to get rid of them

Not what I expected honestly and I can kind of see where he's coming from but yeah...feel like this another entry way into his thinking that's completely missing the systems/forces at play that have things in a bad spot and make change difficult to bring about
