It's the implication and the lack of context to the numbers.

If an interviewer asks Trump 'what do you think about the poverty rate among blacks'? And Trump responds 'there are more rich black people today than there were in the past.' He wouldn't be wrong there either einstein.

You're missing my point. I didn't bring up that hypothetical example for relevancy.

Why shouldn't someone make this thread? If someone made a thread about my hypothetical example, they shouldn't either because it's true and doing so is extreme?

I think it's sort of stupid to frame "more white people are killed by cops" as controversial. It's like the expectation that the entirety of this site will see that and gasp

I will admit that it is a stupid thing for him to have said as a response in this context, but I feel like conclusions are jumped to about these things so damn fast

I'd say the system needs a major reform. It's not logical to get rid of the purpose of the police force, but get rid of the current establishment and create a new one that ensures safety for all
