Although MK11 had the best version of Johnny Cage, fatalities, presentation and all, this is definitely my favorite version to play as
Preorder now for Shang Tsung
WB is not responding to me at all even showing them the proof of purchase 😞 anyone know what the deal is?
The hit sound effects are mad irritating to me. Like a mixture of chips crunching and a squishy sound effect.

what you want more variation in sounds?
Li mei is legit the standout in this one lmfaooo
yeah she has a lot of fun potential

Idk...it might just be a personal thing. It doesn't sound like a hit to me. Reminds me of the sound the vampires made when they exploded in Blade. The sound makes more sense for an explosion w/ blood splattering everywhere, but not a hit if you get what I'm saying.

It's between her and Kitana for me.
They leaked the story ending
@ShintaroKago
johnny looks amazing in this holy s***
Ima be ass lol combos look hard asf

@ShintaroKago
where is that ? I won't comment on its accuracy but wondering where the leak is
So after playing the beta extensively, I have a lot of thoughts.
Game feels incredible. Nowhere near as sluggish and heavy like MK11. It’s fast, fluid and flexible. There’s so much room for creativity and player expression, which is literally what was lacking so much in the last game. No system mechanics that hold these characters back, just pure fun fighting game. Like even with the Kameo’s, I feel like they only give rather then take away like the variation system did. It’s gonna take some time to really get the hang of them and implement them consistently to main “fighting”, but the sky is the limit. Frost is nuts though lmao.
As far as characters go, everyone in the beta is very fun. I’ve never been a Kitana fan (full pun intended), and even for me she’s been really fun too. Sub Zero and Liu Kang are great as well, and in Sub Zero’s case, feels like Sub Zero that’s been missing for so long. Johnny has a lot of love put into him, but his animations are so horribly distracting. No one else has this problem as extreme as him though. Either way, his Hype system is insane lol.
Li Mei is cool as f***. Being another example of a 3D era character being done justice, I’m really glad they are really embracing the PS2 days. She also reminds me a bit of Black Canary from Injustice 2.
Kenshi is the most interesting character in the beta, but also probably one of the coolest design characters they’ve ever had. It’s not a full puppet character exactly, but I really like this take on it. Sento being tied to your Kameo meter makes the risk-reward factor far more engaging. Kenshi is definitely a lab character, and it’s frustrating (but understandable) there’s no training mode in the beta, because all I want to is do a deep dive on figuring him out. If there’s more characters in the full game like Kenshi with this amount of uniqueness, we’re looking at a really great game.
I think the only thing I’m really worried about at this point is what lies beyond the story mode and versus. Netherrealm is usually really good about single player stuff, but if Towers are a grind fest again like previous games, I’m not with it.
I think MK is back @ShintaroKago
I’m not sure what console I’m gonna get it on yet though. I know it’s Crossplay, but this PS5 Dpad is ASS

thank you for this. as someone who only got into mk with MKX, MK11 felt like a really really bad downgrade to me. i was skeptical about MK1, but hearing your opinion on it gives me a lot more confidence to buy it

I will also agree with that. Johnny felt so f***ing good
perhaps me being a dude that likes his troll characters the combo potential was amazing w the hype meter, and a few other characters shown in kombat lasts seems to have a version of the Hype, so real exciting to see where that goes.
This beta also actually has a speed boost from
The previous version, so they’re listening to people. The final product is definitely gonna be fire
