You ever watch a youtube video or read an article and look at the comments. Then say to yourself none of you know what you are talking about. It happens very often. Im not the smartest person in the world but I will do a little research before commenting. Also I have never seen someone leave a youtube comment in real life.
This especially true when you know a little bit about sumn, and then another person is tryna talk like some expert but they're making the most simplest mistakes its like....bruh...you making a fool outta yourself and for what?

It happens in sports the most
it happens pretty equally across almost all subjects tbh
its just human nature, dunning-kruger s***
there was one post in this other thread earlier that made me think this exact thought.
same type s*** is when someone THINKS they are recalling something correctly, some chain of events from a past time, and just completely fill the story/information with like 90% cap.
yea s*** like that makes me think precisely "wtf is this person saying?"
Just look at reddit people will comment based on news clickbait title before actually reading the article itself

Yeah whatever you are most knowledgeable about is gonna be the space you most experience it.
Poor performers have not yet acquired the ability to distinguish between good and bad performances. They tend to overrate themselves because they do not see the qualitative difference between their performances and the performances of others.
This definition lends itself to a simple explanation of the effect: incompetence often includes being unable to tell the difference between competence and incompetence, which is why it is difficult for the incompetent to recognize their incompetence.
yeah music, cars, USA social issues, video games and animals mainly dogs, wildcats & reptiles are the ones for me

Another thing is that I like a hot take, especially if they have a good reasoning but most of the time its just like cmon man really
Knowing that you don't know what you're talking about is possibly the #1 thing that people don't know
Another thing is that I like a hot take, especially if they have a good reasoning but most of the time its just like cmon man really
hot takes are sometimes not even really hot, more just large minority opinion.
the true hot takes are needed though for the greater good.

this is what ppl said/still say about journalism
once you read something written for the general public about your trade or profession or area of expertise, and see how some s*** just ain't so, you begin to wonder how accurate the things they say abt other s*** that you take for granted
