yeah this is one of the only reasons I still come back to spotify sometimes, my gf uses it and we like seeing what we're listening to when we're not together
wish AM at least had native last.fm scrobbling but Apple would never in a million years
i think until AM can match the social feature, spotify will remain king

honestly if AM added support for lossless playback of local files from your iTunes Cloud library instead of transcoding them down to AAC that would be a f***in game changer
it's a pipe dream, but s*** if they allowed ALAC files to be streamed wirelessly that'd shake s*** up big time, and while I'm dreaming rn might as well hope that one day they'd support FLAC natively so you don't gotta convert to ALAC if you want to use iTunes/Music
Apple Music is enticing but it can’t beat being able to get Spotify for a lifetime for just a couple bucks
It’s also worth noting that Spotify on Windows is superior to Apple Music on windows. Not important for everyone but definitely a point to be made

The amount of storage that would cost them will steer them away. Maybe feasible if they made you pay for iCloud storage to use it. But I have 1TB of FLAC files. I’m not trying to pay the price they would charge for that much cloud storage. You’re better off just paying for Qobuz or Tidal if you want a feature similar to that

Yeah true, honestly though I'd be down as f*** to pay for the 2TB iCloud Drive plan for $10 a month if I could stream my lossless music library from it directly from the Music app. Been thinking about getting that plan anyways and just using it for backing up some files and what not, it's mad cheap for the size, but the service itself could use some fine tuning.
If they allowed FLAC/ALAC over iCloud Drive in the music app and offered like 4 or 5TB for ~$20-25 I'd do it faster than you can say Tim Apple

Damn that's tough. I like using my own media library so that would be enticing, but for that price I would probably end up just going for Qobuz
Only have Spotify cus of connect and all my friends on there along with their playlists

The problem with Qobuz is that is really lacks selection, even some bigger artists don't get added to the site for weeks after drops if at all, and lots of the time the audio isn't truly lossless unless you get the HiFi stuff. And I actually like Qobuz, but I've only used it for the store to buy albums one at a time
Idk if I’d say Spotify looks better, but I switched to Spotify because I believe it’s easier/efficient to use & there’s good features like custom playlists made for you.
yeah that’s why i chose to get Apple Music and get rid of Spotify, AM is way better integrated with iPhone
AM UI is still frustrating but the winter update coming looks to have improved things
hopefully joining the FiiO M11 Pro gang next month for my birthday and won't need to deal with streaming services' local file s*** no mo and just have all my flac on a 512gb microSD card (shit maybe 1tb eventually but that's like $250 and I only got less than 120gb of flac so far)
