Is this version of Pierrot any different or is it just a reissue since the older version is out of print?

the new one is not the raoul coutard approved transfer, which has the green tinted shot with sam fuller and belmondo.

this new version is the same as the 2010 studiocanal release.
should be the same as the old except the green tint

the actual restoration print of the film itself, done by cinematheque francaise doesn’t have the tint cause they messed up

only criterion added it, probably thanks to coutard

What is everyone's end of the year totals? I completely lost track of how many I bought until I calculated and bought 16, which is a lot for me in one year. Also accidentally bought two Amores Perros (bought orignal release before announcement and bought the new one as well) which was dumb, so I will make sure to check criterion announcements before they are announced if I can

just beware that some of the discs in the set have a history of disc rot or failure

particularly the le rayon vert disc (mine was fine though). they also got separates for the moral tales/comedies and proverbs and tales of four seasons but the set is so much more packed with marquise d’o, perceval and some others which I dont think r available on blu (triple agent and anglaise et la duc, and l’amours is only dvd though)

its also the same transfers as the arrow sets and criterion ones

i remember i got this and pierrot le fou before they went OOP like 10 years ago. two of my first crit's, got that chungking digipack version

price error on amazon, so this ended up being less than 5 euro
