How does one even go about getting a large collection? Like i see all these small youtubers with like 100 views on a video with rows filled with blurays&dvds behind them

But when i look for a blu ray of some of my fav films it's already like 50 dollars a piece

Where do these mfs pull the money from to just be spending on films that you can also get on streaming or torrent

Wish i was on to collecting physicals when all the film renting shops started closing, could have made a fire ass deal for a lot probably

We generally only buy them when they're on sale 50% off (or less, I luckily ran into a collector who was selling off all his criterions etc for 10$ a pop once)

I say take it one step at a time. I use to think bigger collections and buying every movie I liked was the way to go but over the 7 years i've been collecting, it becomes less of this. I just buy when I find something I will rewatch and my collection without tv sets is only 59, which i'm happy with so just do you. The people with gigantic collections probably don't even watch 60% of their films anyways

Had to unfollow the criterion subreddit cause there were too many rich a******s that would just buy the whole collection to show it off and not even open, let alone watch them
