Nigga made an album reflecting on the troubles of his upbringing, his vices, his insecurities, traumatic experiences, forgiveness and finding the courage to live his life on his terms.
Really made art that serves as a reflection of where he’s at in his life and what he had to go through to get to this point. And I gotta hear niggas on the internet who lack introspection and maybe even internal dialogue tell me the album sucks because they can’t play it at a party 😭😭😭😭😭
everything he talked about on this album will be relevant for 10, 20, 30, 40+ years (real reason I called it generational, not just cause of the quality)
also I wish he made more videos for this album bruh. this s*** deserved a movie.
The online rhetoric around this albums generic and lazy criticism is almost identical to TPAB, im not arguing about this s*** again lmao
@Leftside repent for your sins cro
Revisited recently, and I like it more than the first time I listened (I still liked it minus a few songs). I'm at a juncture in my life where a lot of the s*** is speaking to me so it's resonating like a mf
The hate for tpab was similar, ppl were pissssssed it wasn't like gkmc
Thats why i hate when niggas say gkmc>TPAB like its a hot take. Its the majority opinion bruh
”But I just re-listened top to bottom. A year removed from all expectations, 5 year waits, sales talk...this is genuinely an incredible album.”
this is funny to read tbh
goes to show you how disconnected a site can make you from reality based on the discourse/people on it
the way they discuss Morale on this site you would think he dropped one of the worst albums ever
Im passing by this thread just to let the idiots know in the back that the album was already 3 times plat before the beef
some days it's my fav Kendrick album honestly
the themes just hit different as you get older
I don’t want my music especially hip hop to sound like a broadway play I want it to knock like the genre was intended from the beginning
dumbass
