she’s a white woman that comes off as aloof, if not, actively antagonistic towards her fame. during a recession where people can barely afford basic necessities with 2 jobs.
mix that with the rampant and long standing misogyny towards women artist, you get to this point.
where someone would look at this and shame her for her reaction towards pap, while feeling invigorated by ye reacting to pap videos.
she’s not as media trained as billie eilish, bc billie has been groomed to be a pop star since she was at least in hs, in goddamn california. idk where roan is from, but she strikes me as someone who loves songwriting but never was particularly fond with being a massive pop star.
she’ll take the ad revenue and national headlining tours, but i imagine it’s hard to one day go from being shelved to droped by a major, go on to pursue sound and vision you have, and become as famous as kim kardashian in a span of few months
she probably would have been satisfied being a mitski level indie artist and done well for herself in that lane. i don’t think she was prepared for this level of fame, and as much as she can be a 🙄 “yt woman” i def have empathy for her.
