BRAVEIdk if it's a conscious change, but the evolution from ktt to ktt2 seems to be that of exclusivity to universality.
From the new auto-update/recent activity system to the lack of a list in msct, it's less of a tight-knit community with a cast of key colorful characters and more of a mecca for hip-hop internet fans from all walks of life.
It does feel too sterile as @Ignance_ said, that feeling goes back to ktt2's "con" (which is only a con if you were a ktt regular) - the lack of a sense of community. Now this isn't inherently bad without context, and ktt2's pros make up for that loss:
Rapid traffic and fair access to attention. For example; if any musicians wanted to garner a fanbase from ktt, they definitely can much more than they could before due to seeing all the recent activity from every sxn right there at the front of music sxn. Gone is the need to finesse music sxn for attention - everything is everywhere for everyone to see.
So the mods and admin are valid but I see the point of some of ktt's OGS. Of course the ideal is any sort of balance between the new system and old - something I'm sure will happen as @mitskiiac continues to tinker with the site.

Exactly so it isn't all bad for og ktt members who arent as fond of the changes. But newer members wont have that or care to have that, and lead to more of the trolling that we've seen be so in our face
