not true at all. id actually argue it would give them more time to actually reflect on what the real meaning of life is.
no lol trust me i live right next to people like that and they already abuse the government to receive paychecks and they do nothing but drink and eat all day and you can talk about this to any psychologist you want and they'll tell you the same
I dont think were arguing the same thing you're talking about the current minimum wage workers im talking about the upcoming generation being completely spoiled and embracing a lifestyle completely secluded from society which is already happening in itself (teens being misdiagnosed with depression and other mental illnesses)
"the future of labor is no labor"
you gotta understand that the two groups we are talking about are the same people. people with degrees aren't even finding jobs these days, what makes you think that the kids growing up today are gonna have a easy time finding jobs? its gonna be EVEN harder due to automation.
UBI will offset that, its not gonna make people just straight up lazy, the test has been ran in numerous countries bro lol
@hermit
The up and coming generation will be still going to school bro
?
people are dropping out of universities left and right lmao just look at the male dropout rates at universities and how they've risen in the past 20 yrs

if you're talking about welfare that system is made to keep people down and actually discourages people from working thus taking away their benefits.

People aren't dropping out because they're f***ing lazy. They're realizing school is becoming more pointless.

See thats the main problem lol... school is not pointless at all and thats my issue. People starting to think like that. Knowledge is everything and school gives you exactly that and this is really sad actually

The education system is drastically broken in this country and if you wanna argue that go ahead. People aren't turned off by learning, they're turned off by these s***ty institutions that pile debt onto people and provide them with no job security.

Broken or not its the most efficient way to get knowledge. Yes it gives you debt but it also gives you resources to pay that debt off. Also most people dont drop out to study by themselves they drop out to pursue unreal things and things that dont really contribute to the society and then end up workign minimum wage jobs . Im not trying to argue that educational system is good i am just saying that education is important regardless of if you do it by yourself or not. You should strive to know as many things as you can. Like people say chase what makes you happy but that is not true and shouldnt be true. Embrace the pain and emptiness and do what society needs

Resources to pay off that debt? NOOO THEY DONT....
man you tryna tell me i dont understand LOL...
Yes bro im not attacking your personality or changing the subject lmao I hate when people do this. I am arguing a pretty good point that has been said by many other people besides me with Dr. degrees so please just don't
In the near future specialized and technical jobs will die and you’ll need soft skills to survive. Having imagination and seeing the bigger picture on things will be way more valuable than being good at math
