@02Shaq, gonna post in here since @Nujabes rudely locked the thread before I could post
That's cool that he did all that but I'm talking about NOW.
Kendrick did all these numbers through multiple hits in his career and in that album that you mentioned, meanwhile Cole had really no hits out there and has been steadily in competition with Kendrick throughout the last decade. Now that he's droping hits left and right like it's no big deal, what do you think might happen to his numbers?
Cole may legitimately have the biggest core fanbase of the big 3, it's just a question of if he can make big enough hits to make the general public outside of his core interested in his music.

Why are you trying to dicredit his features like they weren't hits, especially when he's a huge reason if not the biggest reason this s*** became a hit?
And yes that's the 3 right there in 2018/19 after almost a decade of no hits, and 2 of these songs might already be the 2 biggest songs of his career, Cole is legitmately coming in blazing hot into this new album this year.

In that same time period Kendrick had pray for me, all the stars and Kings dead. That’s two top 10s compared to Coles one.
Kendrick has top 3 most anticipated rap album in 2020.
More streamed than Cole, more hits than Cole, more record sales than Cole, more acclaim than Cole.
aaaaand boom, he died. You hate to see it.
RIP

4 diamond albums in the 2010s vs 14 diamond albums in the 2000s is crazy

And that's cool that he did that but you gotta understand that Kendrick always had hits on almost every project in his career and that's what led him to those numbers. Like the only Kendrick album that didn't have a hit was TPAB. With all those hits, I can expect a 500-550k fw album this year, that's great.
But on the other hand you have a guy who really never had hits like that but could sell 350-450k whenever he dropped. And now that same guy is racking up hits and is taking more and more the attention of the ppl outside of his core fanbase contrary to Kendrick.
Like maybe it's a hot take but it's really not that far fetched to say that the guy that has the biggest core fanbase in hip hop might outdo Kendrick if he's able to churn out megahits too.
J cole stinks
so does your poophole
