so if u remember in like march or april when EARFQUAKE and ARE WE STILL FRIENDS leaked right. I got ahold of one of the links to download it and replied to someone’s tweet publicly so they could download it. about two days later i get a call from the SENIOR VP OF THE RIAA asking how i obtained this music. i explained to him that i found the link and passed it on etc etc

fast forward to september 12,2019. i wake up for school and as i head out (i’m home alone) i get a knock on my door. i open that s*** about to head out to school and it’s EIGHT F***ING FBI AGENTS. bro’s got bulletproof vests and everything on them right and they sweep my house for guns and d**** etc. they give
me two warrants to search my house and seize my phone and the lead guys sits me down with two other agents. The rest of them finish sweeping the house and take my phone and computer and copy the info and confiscate them etc.

So he sits me down right. dude is part of cyber security division. he’s like “we came here because we heard you’re involved with music you shouldn’t have” and i’m like bro i DID. OT LEAK THAT S*** and he’s like ok then why do we have warrants and so we sit there for like deadass two hours and i have to explain to him what ktt is. what leakthis is, what i do with comps, and why i didn’t know what i was doing is illegal. i explained to him that i just got the song and passed it to someone like 10,000 other f***ers. etc. dude gets what i’m doing and kinda realizes this was a waste

whole time this dude was next to him on my dining table. turns out this guy was the f***ing senior VP of the RIAA and he asks if i leaked his number????? why the f*** would i. but they leave and i have no phone or laptop now, so i had to buy a flip phone and use my moms macbook. I also got some money from a label for some A&R work so i lawyered up. turned out that them bringing the RIAA guy violated procedures as he’s a private representative so he pressed that in court.

but they dropped the case in december because it made absolutely zero sense to prosecute me because what i do is essentially harmless in the grand scheme of what they want to do and that’s in addition to the fact that i pay for all my legal music and support my artists and the fact that my comps are made for preservational reasons. but yeah

never got my phone back or my laptop but i got new ones. also the FBI guy said i could work w him in cyber security in the future. f*** that.
