On Reddit there’s some AMA’s with former behind the scenes crew for few if the early seasons and some interesting tid bits:

• Mike/Angelina knew each other prior to the show and hooked up

• the girls the guys got with were scouted. The crew would go around promote the club they would be at and invite certain girls they saw around there to go. Then once they got there they would encourage the girls to mingle with the cast. But after that it was all fair game back at the house. And the girl cast mates acted like a buffer to alot of the ppl they let in lol

• they assumed some members were on d**** but didn’t have proof and Mike seemed to get worse during season 2

• Sam was just as mean to Ron as he was to her. Always said random mean s*** to him for no reason

• the two girls Pauly/Vinny dated in Miami were scouted too.

• during the Miami fight they had to cut out the footage of Ron pushing Jwow because of the Snooki thing and it led to Sam getting more hits in

• Pauly really plays it up for cameras and more quiet and to himself in general

• Mike and Jwoww smashed and she caught feels which lead to her hitting him during season 1 but they edited that part out because the various hookups would be too much

• they saw season 2 footage right before filming season 3 and that’s why Sam kept bringing up Miami because the crew didn’t want them to talk about what they saw until the show started

• Deena knew Snookie from auditions and at first they were gonna consider Ryder to replace Angelina

• Production crew set up Ronnie to get exposed with the letter but it was Jwoww/Snooki’s idea. If they haven’t done it Sam wouldn’t have known until right before they filmed season 3

• Angelina was horrible to deal with and nasty overall compared to everyone else

• During the fights it was said to be much worse in person and all the editing is due to the cast mates asking the production to step in but they can’t show it cause it’s “breaking the fourth wall” and against contract

• most of what we saw (especially season 1) was authentic but manipulated to fit certain storylines MTV wanted to narrate.

• way more fights with randoms at the clubs but since it was so frequent they left a lot out

Going slightly viral may be time for a rewatch

it's good entertainment but f*** this show. put a bad rap on NJ to many outsiders. half these f***s aint even from NJ too which is the worst part.

Absolute trashy show. It was perfect.

The show fell off a cliff. Ever since Angelina came back all the show is: “Angelina does something small” and they make the entire season about the cast being mad at her.

Like this new season. It’s been 2-3 episodes now of Mike crying about Angelina DM’in Jay Cutler, saying she’s a toxic friend and the worse. Meanwhile any time other cast mates actually do something “bad”…. No one cares.

I know this s*** prolly scripted at this point but they be gaslighting tf outta her and treat her like a kid. I hope that paycheck good cus I couldn’t be rockin wit people like that. Only chill one is Pauly.
